Transposed

What would you do if you saw a green stopsign?
Would you go? I think I would.
Because maybe I can't read.

What would you think if you saw an infant with a pistol?
Would you be concerned for your life? I think I would.
Because how did he get that gun?

Yet I second guess these things,
And they get transposed.
How confusing.

Contemplating a Molecule of Oxygen

I think I might be in a coma,
Lying motionless in a hospital bed,
With family and friends tired
Of waiting for me to wake up.

And this life I'm living,
Is a fabrication in my head,
And the voices I hear
Are the only thing that's real.

This thought makes me sad,
Because I always thought
I was more creative than this.

A note about the update...

I posted a few poems I wrote a couple of years ago. They were originally intended to be songs that formed a story when put together. I am missing a few of them, and the ones I posted are not in order.

A Farewell

Do you
Think I
Have much
To say to you now?

The curtains have closed
and the actors have taken their bow.

Do you
Sleep well
At night
Cold and alone in your bed?

Surrounded by darkness
And led by the voices in your head.

So when they collide,
We shall see what's inside
With the rain from which
All of us cower and hide

Close Your Eyes

What is it you feel?
What is it you see?

When I told you the answer
You'd forgotten the question

The unspoken love
and the heartbroken passion

Close your eyes to feel,
And reach out to see

Regret/A Touch Of Sanity

A thousand moons revolve
Around eachother
And love or hate
Destroys all that's great

Once we choose we cannot have the other

A thousand moons collide
Into eachother
And turn to flame,
An everlasting pain

It remains for our sisters and brothers

So hold on tight
To the ones you love
When they're gone,
And you are all alone
There's nothing left to hide from
